Actually, the Digital Communications Commission has approved the creation of a data analytics center. Such centers will help in reducing SIM card fraud, KYC-related fraud, organized fraud, and financial cybercrime which happens from telecom resources. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) will soon set up such a center.

Easy to track SIM cards issued on fake documents

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Block Chain technology will be used in these centers and it will be easy to track SIM cards issued on fake documents. Especially in the country which are such crime centers, it will help in keeping an eye on them. Calling with a fake sim card is a fraud. These frauds are in the name of banking, insurance, and lottery. In many cases of cybercrime, fake SIM is used.

Every year lakhs and crores of rupees are cleared from the account in the name of fake SIM. By adopting all kinds of tricks, fraudsters do fraud against common people by trapping them in their nets.
