Arjun Chopra- Harbinger Of Change

Arjun Chopra (18) started The Helping hand NGO at the age of 16. He started this project with a small team , and did his first project, called Project Rose where he distributed sanitary kits and provided education on the stigma revolving around menstrual hygiene to underprivileged women from Vatsalyam and Satyachit Sashaktikaran foundation.

He states that a meeting with komal and her family, an underprivileged girl child changed his perspective on life, and led him to do Social service on a massive scale.

Arjun has expanded his empire to more than 5000 volunteers and admins. The Helping hand has branches across India and internationally, and has student interns from across the globe. The Helping Hand has done 55 huge projects alongside firms like Fiapo, Sanshil Foundation and People For Animals, and have been recognised by politicians such as Maneka Gandhi and Manish Sisodia.

From the success of The Helping Hand, He started a new venture, called Bifröst Ed Tech, with 30 subsidiary organisations, that aims to curate a safe working space that provides students & interns with endless opportunities to enhance their talents & build upon their portfolios according to their streams.

Bifröst Ed Tech will launch their app next year, which will offer affordable and efficient curriculums to all students of India, for profile building.

The Helping Hand and Bifröst Ed Tech combined have done over 150 projects, some notable ones being project Dhanvantari, where the helping hand created a task force to provide verified leads to Oxygen Beds and cylinders, tiffin services and crematorium services during the second wave of Covid-19.

They also raised money to provide 30 lakhs worth of Corona Kavach policies to frontline sanitation workers, which according to Arjun were the most neglected part of society during the pandemic. Another notable project was Bedaag, where the Bifrost team distributed 300 reusable and eco friendly sanitary pads kids in three villages near the ghasola region. They also opened up their own brand of sanitary pads, that are eco friendly, recyclable and last upto two years,under the brand name Bedaag.

Bifröst Ed Tech has organisations such as SaafSaans, Greenlight, streetbark, voice of the voiceless Themis and Blackboard amongst various others, and continues to do projects that create massive change in society.

SaafSaans and Greenlight have planted over 5000 trees in India, and continue to spread information on climate change. Streetbark and voice of the voiceless have fed over 50000 stray animals, from cows , dogs, monkeys to even birds.

Blackboard has taught over 150 rural kids, and have done projects revolving around education and it’s importance. Themis has conducted online webinars on cyber crime alongside Mr. Rakshit Tandon, and works towards women empowerment and strengthening and education of Indian laws to unaware citizens. These students led by Arjun Chopra have shown that age is just a number, and change can be brought regardless.

Bifröst and the helping hand have impacted over one million lives combined, and has helped over 5000 students achieve a better University through a stronger profile.

They continue to work towards social and academic causes, and have done over 150 projects in almost every sector of social service, based on all SDG Goals provided by The United Nations. The Helping hand recently completed their two years anniversary, and did Ann Daan, where they distributed home cooked meals to 2050 underprivileged people across India.

The Efforts of these students are recognised nationally and internationally, and they continue to build a better world, redefining and breaking stigmas, saving lives, and making the Earth a better place.
